What it does
-
One note per list
Each note is its own small window with its own colour and its own place on screen. Pin the ones you want above other windows and leave the rest behind them.
-
Add without ceremony
Type and press Enter, again and again. Paste an indented list and you get a list, subtasks and all. Add a task directly below any other, or a subtask inside it.
-
Drag anywhere
Reorder by dragging, drag right to nest, drag a task onto another note to move it to that list.
-
Dates and details
Today and tomorrow in one click, a calendar when you need a real date, and a description that takes bold, italics, bullets and clickable links.
-
Out of the way
One keyboard shortcut shows or hides every note, from any application. Closing them puts the app in the tray, not away.
-
It is your Google Tasks
Nothing lives only in this widget. Everything is the same data as the Google Tasks web app and the phone app.
What it asks for
Signing in asks Google for one permission — see, edit, create and delete your tasks — because that is what a task widget does. It asks for nothing else: not your email address, not your contacts, not your files.
Your tasks are stored on your own computer and exchanged only with Google. Nothing is sent to any other server, and no analytics are collected. The privacy policy says so in full.
Installing
-
Download the latest release
and run the
.exeinstaller. - Open Sticky Widget and click Connect.
- Sign in with Google in the browser window that opens, and allow access to your tasks.
- Your lists appear. Drag the note where you want it.
New versions install themselves: the app tells you when one is out and updates when you say so.
